Vaginal dryness after menopause
Lower estrogen thins the vaginal wall and reduces moisture, which can cause dryness, irritation and pain during sex. Besides medication, the clinic offers non-surgical treatments:
- Vaginal hyaluronic-acid injections using fine 32G micro-needles. About 5 minutes, no anesthesia, usually 3 sessions a month apart.
- Laser vaginal treatment to stimulate collagen and improve elasticity. About 20 minutes, back to daily life the same day.
- Radiofrequency heat therapy to improve blood flow and dryness. 20–30 minutes, no anesthesia.
Hormone therapy, explained
Hormone therapy can relieve hot flashes and vaginal symptoms, but it is not right for everyone. Your doctor reviews your age, time since your last period, and personal and family history before discussing it.
If you still have a uterus, a progestin is needed to protect the lining; a hormonal IUD such as Mirena can be used for this.

Menopause questions
What are common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause?
Irregular periods, hot flashes and night sweats, sleep problems, mood changes, vaginal dryness and pain during sex. Symptoms differ widely between women, so a consultation helps decide what is worth treating.
Is hormone replacement therapy (HRT) safe for me?
It depends on your age, symptoms and medical and family history. The doctor reviews these with you and explains the benefits and risks before recommending whether hormone therapy suits you.
Can I see a female gynecologist in English about menopause in Seoul?
Yes. You can book in English on WhatsApp and see a female, board-certified OB/GYN specialist who explains your options clearly.
What can help with vaginal dryness after menopause?
Options range from medication to non-surgical treatments that support moisture and elasticity, such as hyaluronic-acid vaginal injections, laser vaginal treatment and radiofrequency heat therapy. The doctor recommends what fits your symptoms.
Should I be screened for osteoporosis?
Bone loss speeds up after menopause, so screening is often advised. Ask us on WhatsApp whether bone density testing can be arranged at the clinic or where we recommend it.
Can a hormonal IUD be used during hormone therapy?
Yes. A hormonal IUD such as Mirena can be used to protect the lining of the uterus during menopausal hormone therapy.
